LIFT11 workshop submissions are open!

At Lift11, workshops will take place on Thursday 3 February, and Friday 4 February 2011.

Click here to submit a proposal. We’ve suggested some overall themes that we’d like to focus on in this edition – they tie in with our program and the plenary sessions and will enable Lifters to explore in more detail these hot topics. Here they are:

• Ubiquitous computing: Augmented Reality, location-based services, internet of things, urban screens, networked objects and robots
• Open innovation and crowdsourcing
• Communities and social media
• New forms of transactions: new currencies (social, reputation), mobile payment, …
• Workplace of the future: process, architecture, nomadic work
• Mobile app: designing for many screen, how to stand out
• Hands-on prototyping: arduino, iPhone app, programming…
• Game design beyond gameification
• Information overload: strategies to survive in a world that produces XXX gigaoctet of information per day
